Could this be oral herpes?

so about a month and a half ago i started to get little bumps in the corner of my mouth only on the top lip they eventually spread and became very dry and my top lip swelled up this went on for a couple weeks till it was completely gone. and just today i have noticed another tiny little bump in the same place. very unnotacible i only felt it when i licked my lips. it is on the top lip again. I have been with my bf for 2 years and we have discused this and he has not had anything or any symtoms like i have had. although last time i got the bumps on my lip it was a few days after i had went to a party and was sharing drinks, and shot glasses with people. Do you think its herpes? also last time the bumps happend i had been out in the sun alot tanning, and just recently a few days ago and today i was out for a couple hours tanning in the sun. Or could this just be a reaction to the sun?
