Why are we stroking each others egos? Tax cuts for the Rich are killing our country's revenue stream?

Teabagger/Republican folk do not equate taxes with revenues. They also believe the revenue stream to be disconnected from the budget. It is the ONLY way that they could rationalize NOT having to make budget adjustments when revenues (upon which said budget was based) are being cut. To paraphrase: "tax cuts do not have to be paid for. they are free. how can it cost anything to let people keep more of their own money." etc., etc., etc..
