Do I need to give them a two week notice when I quit?

Im 15 and work at market basket which is a grocery store( I dont know if you have it all around the country) im a bagger there so its not really a serious job but im quitting tomorrow and I dont really want to but my dad says I need to give them a two weeks notice because if not it will go on my permenant record help?
